Tuesday December 19, the Coronado Cougars faced off against their District rivals, the Palmer Terrors. Early in the first period, Jack Cintron put the Cougars on the board, assisted by Andrew Burton and Ian Wark. The three would connect again for Jack’s second goal of the night. With the help of defensemen, Trevor Gordon and Austin Crawford, Ian Wark scored his first goal of the night. However, he would not be satisfied with one. Wark and Burton skated down, two on one, wrapping up the first period, with a short handed goal.
The second period started with another short handed goal, this time by Cole Brooker. Cole got his second goal of the night, with the help of Logan Dineen and Trevor Gordon. Andrew Burton got in on the action with the help of Jack Cintron. Unfortunately, Brendan Walters spoiled the shut out for senior goalie, Chris Kelly.
All in all, the Cougars dominated the Terrors, putting 57 shots on goal. Chris Kelly had a quiet night in goal, making 18 saves on 19 shots and the Cougars skated away with a 7-1 victory.
